Krakow

I went to Krakow to visit my old friend Konrad. Being an experienced amateur photographer, he persuaded me to try out shooting in RAW. Being a bit anxious to move away from the cosy JPEG format, I made my camera take the images in both.

It was quite interesting to see the difference! Although the camera usually gets it fairly right, I very soon came around to loving the flexibility RAW gave me. Also, having to post process every image forces you to get ride of the junk you normally wouldn't get around to deleting thus inundating yourself in rubbish pictures you'll never look at again.

Being a fan of Open Source, RAW Therapee and GIMP are used as the post processing software.
